Spreading Deadly Black Fungus/ Mucormycosis In COVID-19 Patients.

 


Nowadays Mucormycosis (Black fungal disease) is infected peoples with COVID-19. It is a fungal infection that occurs by mold mucormycetes. It enters from the nose then transfer to the eyes and then the brain when the infection is in the brain then it is deadly so in this condition, the eye is removed by surgery.

Firstly, in Ahmednagar patients found which are infected by this black fungus, in the last 15 days, 40 patients found in Surat and 6 patients in 2 days in Delhi which are suffering from Mucormycosis.

Risk Factor:

1.     Diabetic ketoacidosis.

2.     Increase Iron load.

3.     End stage renal disease.

4.     Patient taking Iron therapy.

5.     Defect in phagocytic function.

Symptom:

1.     Nasal obstruction.

2.     Bloody nasal discharge.

3.     Facial pain.

4.     Headache.

5.     Vision loss.

6.     Black necrotic area.

Diagnosis:

1.     Histopathologic staining of tissue biopsy.

Treatment: Amphotericin-B.
